Parties can
be a lot of fun. They can build relationships and open doors to sharing the
gospel. This coming Saturday, Hubert is planning a party for the students in
his three English classes. Some of them are very new and we want to get to know
them better. Please pray for the party Saturday. We plan to make pizza together
and play games. Pray for God to work in hearts of those who are not yet saved,
that they would turn to the Lord. Pray for the Christians to be good witnesses
to them.
April 14-16
will be Khmer New Year. Actually it is celebrated for about three weeks. It marks the New Year of the Buddhist calendar. It involves many
ceremonies and offerings to spirits and idols. For the new believers, it can be
very difficult. The parents usually expect their children to participate. There
could be severe consequences for refusing. Pray for all the Khmer Christians to stand
strong for God and refuse to compromise. They desire to honor the Lord and obey him.
“For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a
strong tower from the enemy.” Psalm 61:3
