Answered Prayer

Thanksgiving was a great time of fellowship with our Baptist Mid-Missions’ co-workers, the Freeze family and the Carlyle family. They each work in other provinces and it was a special time to be together. We also had two Peace Corp Volunteers with us. One girl is a Christian and seeking to grow in the Lord. The other is not a Christian. Please pray for them and God’s working in their lives.

God answered prayer in bringing L.’s brother and his wife back to Koh Kong to help him in his ice cream shop again. They are even running it this week while L. is in Thailand taking a course on cake decorating to help him in his business. Please pray for L. this week in his training. And please pray that his family will turn to the Lord.

Another answer to prayer is that we got feedback this week from a few more people who said they are listening to the church’s weekly Bible study on the radio. There are still no responses via phone calls or emails, but at least verbal encouragement that God is using it. Pray for lives to be changed as God uses His Word in hearts.

Thank you for praying and praising God.

The Lord is our Help

This coming Sunday we plan to begin presenting the play “New Life in Jesus” during part of the Sunday evening service. It is a seven-part play which the Christians have been diligently practicing. Please pray that it would go well and that God would use it to help people respond to His invitation for salvation.

Please pray for wisdom regarding the Bible study radio program. Hubert is considering whether to continue airing it or not. There have not been any responses for a long time.

Please pray for L. as see takes an exam next weekend in Phnom Penh. She would like to get into medical school. She wants God’s will for her life. Many universities here start in December and go through August.

“I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works.” Psalm 145:5

Ask in Faith

God helped us find a new printer in Phnom Penh and the calendars are being printed. When they are finished, the printer will send them to us here in Koh Kong via bus service. Thank you for praying and please continue to ask God to use them to help people come to know Him.

The church has begun preparations for our Christmas celebration. Please pray that God would guide and bless. It is neat to see that the people now know several Christmas songs, unlike our early Christmases here.  We are practicing handbells for one of the specials.

Last week I worked with some French gynecologists who came to the hospital for three days. Pray that the seed of God’s Word that was planted would grow.

Please continue to pray for Hubert as he preaches, teaches English classes, and writes,
