Daily life
in Cambodia is full of surprises
n Like the electricity going off at any time
for a few minutes or a whole day. We are so grateful to God that most of the
time we have electricity and that when it goes off we have candles and
flashlights. I’m also glad the stove is gas and not electric.
n Like the city water going off, or being brown
when it comes on. But praise the Lord he provides rain and we have a rainwater
tank and collection system. Unfortunately the tank has a hole in the side,
which makes a pretty fountain. But God supplies sufficient rain that we still
have a good water supply in the house. We always keep barrels of water in the
house as well.
n Like the internet going off sometimes. But
God gives patience and eventually it gets working again. Meanwhile there are
plenty of things on the to-do list that don’t require the internet.
God has ways to remind us to be grateful for
the daily needs he provides. He wants us to offer the sacrifice of thanksgiving
continually.
“I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving…” Ps
116:17
