Baptizing and Teaching

Praise God with us for the five people who were baptized Sunday! Several Christians in the church worked together in preparing details. Mr. T., our deacon, took us out in his boat. Although it started raining lightly as we were getting on motorcycles to go from church to the waterfront, the rain only lasted about 5 minutes. Although we saw more rain coming from the northwest, it headed off to the north and missed us. Although on Saturday there was a strong, sudden wind storm about 10 a.m., endangering boats, on Sunday the wind and water were very calm. Although we could not hear the testimonies of the new believers well as they stood in the estuary and we were in the boat, they had shared at other times before, the accounts of how and when they were born again. We were joyful together at this special occasion. Please pray for God to protect them and use their lives to glorify him and to bring others to Christ.
The twelfth grade students are preparing for a final big test which determines if they receive a high school diploma. It will be on August 4 and 5. Please pray for them. We are sad that at least three of them from our church will be moving away for further schooling. That means we only have a couple more weeks left to teach the Word of God to them. God will guide them and use them in new places.

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”  Matt. 28:19,20
